You could see the war room lean forward. KeAndre Lambert-Smith at pick No. 234 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.

Reaching for Simon left real value on the table behind him. With edge rusher and safety unsolved, spending premium capital on linebacker is the choice that costs them.

For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. A small leak at the table, if not a fatal one.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
