The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Patriots watched Jordan Hancock slide 23 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.

Every board in the league had TeSlaa lower, and that gap is the story. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
