Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Patriots spent Round 7, Pick 30 on Jalen Thompson, a name the board had a full 58 spots lower.

If one pick saves this weekend, it is Allar. The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The trade work was a quiet net positive.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
