When a board-topper like Jay Higgins slides to the 133rd overall pick, you do not overthink it, and the Patriots did not.

The cost of the Reed-Adams reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman.

The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
