The Patriots finally solved quarterback, and it carried them to a B-.

After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Patriots committed. Jayden Daniels is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Paul has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. However the rest shakes out, McMillan at that price is a win they earned.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

Pick Analysis
Pick3 Rnd1 Jayden Daniels
In pick 3 they get a long-term answer under center. A real need, handled.
Pick34 Rnd2 Patrick Paul
They left a pile of value on the table to take Patrick Paul this early at pick No. 34. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick68 Rnd3 Johnny Wilson
They liked Johnny Wilson enough to skip the value, taking him in No. 68. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick103 Rnd4 Jalen McMillan
Jalen McMillan slid further than he should have, and the 103rd overall pick is lovely value for the wide receiver. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick139 Rnd5 Jaheim Bell
They took Jaheim Bell at par in slot 139, which is nothing to complain about. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick182 Rnd6 Bryson Nesbit
Bryson Nesbit at the 182nd pick is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick224 Rnd7 Jase McClellan
Jase McClellan at the Round 7 slot is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
