They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Anthony Belton, 106 picks early at pick No. 142.

The Simon pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.

It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
