The Patriots lost the trade table, and the D- tells the story.

The phones were a trap the Patriots kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. The process wobbled, and the D- is where it lands.

They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Belton has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

Getting Castro where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.
