The Titans won the night they stopped Smith from sliding. Grade: A-.

The board owed the Titans one, and it paid up: Brashard Smith, the No. 111 name on the board, sitting there at the Round 7 slot like a gift left on the doorstep. It holds up to a second look, which is why it earns the A-.

They will need Wease Jr. to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.

Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, Abdul Carter and all.
