Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Nohl Williams got past him. The Panthers do not have to explain a thing at No. 146. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. If Walker pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
