The Panthers got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the D-.

You can lose a draft before you make a pick. The Panthers did it at the trade table, overpaying to chase players the board did not price nearly as high.

They will answer for taking DT-EDGE early while quarterback went begging. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Reaching for Simpson left real value on the table behind him. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.
