A costly weekend of dealing drags the Panthers to a D-. Somebody took the Panthers to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it. The math is unkind, and the D- follows.
With linebacker and quarterback unsolved, spending premium capital on OLB-EDGE is the choice that costs them. The linebacker hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The cost of the Spann-Ford reach is exactly the players who went right after him.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and linebacker is still a hole.
