Larceny in the Round 5 slot lands the Panthers a B+, Johnson and all.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Kaleb Johnson tumbling to the Panthers in the 147th overall pick is a gift they did not have to think twice about. The bottom line is a respectable B+.

They are betting Toia proves the room right and everyone else wrong. They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback.

It is not that Corleone is a bad player; it is that the Panthers had louder needs to answer first.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
