When a board-topper like Quinshon Judkins slides to the 233rd pick, you do not overthink it, and the Panthers did not. The board rewarded a patient, disciplined weekend with a A-.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The veteran additions, Danielle Hunter chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Bottom line, they did the job about as well as it can be done.
