Thirty-one other rooms let Tahj Brooks slide, and the Panthers were the ones holding the card at the Round 7 slot. Highway robbery. They moved the roster forward and banked a B+ for it.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. With quarterback unsolved, spending premium capital on interior defensive lineman is the choice that costs them. They are betting Gillotte proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
