The board owed the Panthers one, and it paid up: TreVeyon Henderson, the No. 71 name on the board, sitting there at pick 223 like a gift left on the doorstep.

Reaching for Williams left real value on the table behind him. That cornerback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
