There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Panthers started one anyway for Jordan Strachan, 90 picks ahead of schedule.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. The Newton pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

The dealing tilted against them, just enough to notice.

If T'Vondre Sweat and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
