Call it larceny. Ja'Lynn Polk sat on the board until the 128th pick, and the Panthers did not need to be asked twice.

If Eichenberg pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose.

The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

In the end, one you will need a couple of seasons to truly judge.
