You build a draft on nights like this. Smael Mondon Jr. had no business being available in pick No. 114, and the Panthers did the only sane thing and turned in the card. Add it all up and it grades out a clean A.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. The Brown reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

The veteran additions, Quenton Nelson chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

Few war rooms will sleep better than this one tonight.
