Larceny in Round 4, Pick 8 lands the Panthers a B, Helm and all.

Somebody in the 109th overall pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Panthers sat still while Gunnar Helm, the No. 70 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. More right than wrong, and a B to match.

The Colby pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. They will regret leaving cornerback for another day if the season turns on it.

A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly. They went 7 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
