Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Panthers spent Round 5, Pick 1 on Davison Igbinosun, a name the board had a full 81 spots lower.

However the rest shakes out, Lawson at that price is a win they earned. That safety hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.

They went 7 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
