Whoever sat across the table from the Panthers should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend.

The cost of the Baron reach is exactly the players who went right after him. Leaving linebacker unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

They banked enough surplus on Rucker to cover a lot of smaller sins. The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.

In short, they turned a good board into a better roster, and it shows.
