The Panthers cashed the board's mistake on Barron: B.

Somebody in the Round 5 slot was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Panthers sat still while Jahdae Barron, the No. 11 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. The bottom line is a respectable B.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up. Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
