The Panthers won the weekend at the trade table. Grade: B+.

There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Panthers started one anyway for Eli Cox, 68 picks ahead of schedule. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B+.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. Gadsden II at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. Leaving linebacker unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

The Panthers clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
