Grand theft in Round 7, Pick 36: the Panthers steal Jones and grade out a B+. Whoever sat across the table from the Panthers should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. It nets out to a B+, which feels about right.
Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Jones. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The Robinson reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.
The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.
