Everything else got attention, and cornerback got none. That is a strange way for the Panthers to leave a draft. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

Every board in the league had Jones lower, and that gap is the story. The Speights steal is the beam this whole class leans on.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but cornerback.
