You can hear the double-takes from here. The Panthers took Jaylen Reed at the 146th overall pick, roughly 44 spots before his name belonged. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped offensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. The Noel steal is the beam this whole class leans on. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

The skill positions did well by the weekend.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
