Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Panthers spent the 66th overall pick on Tyler Warren, a name most had 42 spots down the list.

They banked enough surplus on McCullough to cover a lot of smaller sins. Leaving linebacker unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
