Best value of the weekend goes to the Panthers for Ransaw: C+.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Caleb Ransaw tumbling to the Panthers in the Round 7 slot is a gift they did not have to think twice about. The good and the questionable cancel out to a C+.

They will need Wilson to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They will regret leaving linebacker for another day if the season turns on it.

They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

In the end, a coin-flip class: fine today, with a wide range of outcomes ahead.
