The Panthers got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the D.

The Panthers spent real capital to be 48 picks early on Jordan Whittington, and the board is going to hold them to it. Too much went sideways, and the D is the honest tally.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

On the needs board they went 4 of 9, with wide receiver the one that mattered most. The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, edge rusher very much included.
