The Panthers got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the D+.

The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Panthers reached some 32 spots for Gabe Hall, and value like that does not grow back.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. Leaving safety unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, safety very much included.
