FutureB-
The steal of the weekend belongs to the Panthers and Amegadjie: B. This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Kiran Amegadjie, the No. 65 name on the board, stolen at Round 5, Pick 5. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
Sinnott has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. For all the activity, cornerback went untouched, which is hard to explain. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the cornerback spot they never got to.
Pick Analysis
Pick33
Rnd2
Malik Nabers
They will replay Malik Nabers at pick No. 33 for years; that is how good the value is. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick65
Rnd3
Xavier Legette
A reach for Xavier Legette in slot 65; a little patience would have been rewarded. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick102
Rnd4
Ben Sinnott
They talked themselves into Ben Sinnott at pick 102, and the board did not agree. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick141
Rnd5
Kiran Amegadjie
Kiran Amegadjie in the Round 5 slot is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick165
Rnd5
Mason McCormick
Mason McCormick in No. 165 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick180
Rnd6
Luke McCaffrey
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Luke McCaffrey in the 180th pick. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
