The Panthers did not so much draft Joe Milton III as overpay for him, 56 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. The good and the questionable cancel out to a C+.

For all the activity, linebacker went untouched, which is hard to explain. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
