Somehow the biggest item on the list survived the weekend. The Panthers never addressed wide receiver, and it is the kind of gap that lingers.

They will need McGregor to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. They reloaded the coverage unit in bulk.

The dealing was even money, start to finish.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
