Gore Jr. should have been long gone. The Lions pounced, and earned a B+.

The trade table was a mismatch, and the Lions were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value. A dependable weekend that grades out a B+.

Gore Jr. falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. The linebacker spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Adding Miles Sanders by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
