The Panthers put a flag in the ground for Barryn Sorrell, 169 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit.

That Skattebo pick is the receipt they will wave around later. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. The Blake Brandel deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.
