The real work happened on the phones. The Panthers fleeced their trade partners, turning their picks into a noticeably bigger pile than they started with. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

They punted on linebacker, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Bortolini has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.
