Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
A respectable, level-headed haul for the Packers: B-.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Packers did exactly that with Drew Kendall in pick No. 237.

A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. Farmer at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

Pick Analysis
Pick23 Rnd1 Will Johnson
In Round 1, Pick 23 they get a ballhawk on the outside. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick54 Rnd2 Jayden Higgins
By-the-book stuff, Jayden Higgins at the 54th overall pick squarely in line with his ranking. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick87 Rnd3 Jordan Burch
A straight-up fair deal on Jordan Burch at pick 87, value and slot in agreement. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick124 Rnd4 Joshua Farmer
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Joshua Farmer at No. 124 is the proof. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick159 Rnd5 Tommi Hill
No drama and no debate, Tommi Hill went about where he belonged in the 159th pick. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick198 Rnd6 Nazir Stackhouse
Nazir Stackhouse at pick No. 198 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick237 Rnd7 Drew Kendall
Drew Kendall at pick 237 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick250 Rnd7 Jalen Travis
Jalen Travis in No. 250 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
