Trotter Jr. should have been long gone. The Packers pounced, and earned a B+.

The trade table was a mismatch, and the Packers were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value.

The Trotter Jr. steal is the beam this whole class leans on. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Spending an early pick on safety with edge rusher, quarterback and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. The Tariq Woolen pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
