Draft Grade — Packers
Overall D
ValueB NeedB TradesF FutureB
The Packers cashed the board's mistake on Taylor: D.

Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Packers, and the value they bled adds up to real damage. Too much went sideways, and the D is the honest tally.

The Taylor steal is the beam this whole class leans on. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. They chose more darts over a bigger single swing.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, edge rusher very much included.

Pick Analysis
Pick24 Rnd1 Kenneth Grant
In pick No. 24 they get a load in the middle. A real need, handled.
Pick54 Rnd2 Tre Harris
Nothing to complain about; Tre Harris went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick73 Rnd3 Azareye'h Thomas
Azareye'h Thomas slid further than he should have, and the Round 3 slot is lovely value for the cornerback. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick87 Rnd3 Barrett Carter
Barrett Carter at pick 87 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the linebacker. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick107 Rnd4 Jake Majors
By-the-book stuff, Jake Majors at slot 107 squarely in line with his ranking. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick123 Rnd4 O'Donnell Fortune
A straight-up fair deal on O'Donnell Fortune at Round 4, Pick 22, value and slot in agreement. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick140 Rnd5 Cody Simon
Cody Simon in the Round 5 slot lands just on the right side of the ledger. A want dressed up as a pick, at a spot they had covered.
Pick160 Rnd5 Oronde Gadsden II
Oronde Gadsden II at pick 160 is money in the bank, a tight end taken below his worth. The roster fit checks out.
Pick239 Rnd7 Alijah Huzzie
Alijah Huzzie in slot 239 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick251 Rnd7 Roc Taylor
A wide receiver of that caliber at Round 7, Pick 33 is the definition of value, full stop. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
