Draft Grade — Packers
Overall
B
ValueB
NeedB+
TradesB-
FutureB-
A sensible, unshowy class lands the Packers a B. The one they had to fix is still broken. The Packers left quarterback untouched, and that omission hangs over an otherwise reasonable haul. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.
However the rest shakes out, Hall Jr. at that price is a win they earned. They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
They reloaded the coverage unit in bulk.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
Pick Analysis
Pick25
Rnd1
Terrion Arnold
In slot 25 they get an island corner at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick41
Rnd2
Chris Braswell
They took Chris Braswell at par in pick No. 41, which is nothing to complain about. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick58
Rnd2
Javon Bullard
Javon Bullard in the Round 2 slot is fair value, right on his grade. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick88
Rnd3
Michael Hall Jr.
Michael Hall Jr. at Round 3, Pick 25 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick91
Rnd3
Bucky Irving
No edge and no loss on Bucky Irving in No. 91; it is a wash and a sensible one. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
