Draft Grade — Packers
Overall

ValueB
NeedB
TradesB-
FutureB-
More right than wrong for the Packers, and a B- to prove it. The weekend has a hole in the middle of it named edge rusher, a need the Packers walked right past. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.
The Styles steal is the beam this whole class leans on. The Hall pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
Pick Analysis
Pick52
Rnd2
Sonny Styles
The board had Sonny Styles higher than pick 52, and the linebacker fell to them anyway. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick84
Rnd3
Malik Muhammad
Nothing to complain about; Malik Muhammad went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick120
Rnd4
Deion Burks
Value with a capital V on Deion Burks in No. 120, a genuine coup. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick159
Rnd5
Drew Allar
Drew Allar slid further than he should have, and the 159th overall pick is lovely value for the quarterback. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick200
Rnd6
Isaiah Jatta
By-the-book stuff, Isaiah Jatta at the Round 6 slot squarely in line with his ranking. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick236
Rnd7
Riley Mahlman
A straight-up fair deal on Riley Mahlman at the 236th pick, value and slot in agreement. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick254
Rnd7
Jordan Hall
A reach for Jordan Hall in Round 7, Pick 38; a little patience would have been rewarded. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick257
Rnd7
Thomas Collins
They liked Thomas Collins enough to skip the value, taking him in pick No. 257. It fills a real need, too.
