A sensible, unshowy class lands the Packers a B-.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Packers did exactly that with Keith Randolph Jr. in the 125th overall pick.

That is a linebacker worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped tight end, which is a strange place to end up. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Good work on the whole, with tight end the one box left unchecked.

In pick No. 25 they get a lockdown presence outside. It fills the loudest need on the roster.

Quietly one of the better values of the day, Braden Fiske at pick 91. A need, and now a little less of one.

Keith Randolph Jr. at slot 125 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.

Will Shipley at Round 4, Pick 35 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
