Somebody in No. 84 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Packers sat still while Eli Stowers, the No. 63 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. If Deal pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. A small leak at the table, if not a fatal one.

Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
