The Packers let Abrams-Draine fall into their laps, and walked away with a B-.

Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Kris Abrams-Draine got past him. The Packers do not have to explain a thing at pick 98. The bottom line is a respectable B-.

They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. The Packers indulged a want in Smith while a need in edge rusher, quarterback and other spots stayed open. Beebe has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

Job largely done: cornerback settled and 3 of 8 of the wish list covered.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
