No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the Packers.

The Packers clearly saw something nobody else did in Matthew Jones, taking him 25 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

It is not that Smith is a bad player; it is that the Packers had louder needs to answer first. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

The Haynes pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
