SD DRAFTING FOR THEPackers

Draft Grade — Packers
Overall
B-
ValueB

TradesB-
FutureB-
The Packers robbed the room for Ransom. Final grade: B-. The board owed the Packers one, and it paid up: Lathan Ransom, the No. 151 name on the board, sitting there at the 183rd pick like a gift left on the doorstep. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.
That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Running back was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick23
Rnd1
Emeka Egbuka
Nothing to complain about; Emeka Egbuka went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick55
Rnd2
Ajani Cornelius
They paid sticker price for Ajani Cornelius in slot 55, and that is fine. The roster fit checks out.
Pick87
Rnd3
Clay Webb
They took Clay Webb at par in pick 87, which is nothing to complain about. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick119
Rnd4
Collin Oliver
No drama and no debate, Collin Oliver went about where he belonged in pick No. 119. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick151
Rnd5
Reuben Fatheree II
Reuben Fatheree II at No. 151 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick183
Rnd6
Lathan Ransom
They barely believed it either: Lathan Ransom still on the board at the 183rd overall pick. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick215
Rnd7
Jordan James
A slide stopped in Round 7, Pick 23, with Jordan James worth more than the price. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
