Somebody in slot 168 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Packers sat still while Tykee Smith, the No. 146 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. Every board in the league had Beebe lower, and that gap is the story. The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
