The Packers kept it disciplined and banked a B.

If confidence were a draft strategy, the Packers would have aced it. Barryn Sorrell at Round 7, Pick 33 is 64 spots clear of where he belonged. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

The Ewers pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. The tight end spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
