Draft Grade — Packers

FutureB-
The Packers let Bech fall into their laps, and walked away with a D. The trade table was where it all came apart. The Packers shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill.
They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. Every board in the league had Buchanan lower, and that gap is the story.
That is a wide receiver worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.
Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, quarterback very much included.
Pick Analysis
Pick24
Rnd1
Will Johnson
Nothing to complain about; Will Johnson went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick29
Rnd1
Luther Burden III
In Round 1, Pick 29 they get a home-run threat at receiver at fair value. A real need, handled.
Pick34
Rnd2
Derrick Harmon
Derrick Harmon at the Round 2 slot nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick97
Rnd3
Jack Bech
Somehow Jack Bech was still sitting there in pick 97, and they pounced on premier wide receiver value. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick124
Rnd4
Oluwafemi Oladejo
They left a pile of value on the table to take Oluwafemi Oladejo this early at slot 124. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick128
Rnd4
Jake Majors
Jake Majors at the 128th pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick159
Rnd5
Emery Jones Jr.
They let Emery Jones Jr. come to them and pounced at Round 5, Pick 21. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick190
Rnd6
Dont'e Thornton Jr.
A tidy little value on Dont'e Thornton Jr. in slot 190, a step better than break-even. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick198
Rnd6
Jason Marshall Jr.
A premium they did not need to pay, Jason Marshall Jr. a notch or two before his time. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick236
Rnd7
Cam Horsley
They went early on Cam Horsley in the 236th pick, and the value did not follow. It fills a real need, too.
Pick237
Rnd7
Teddye Buchanan
A real head-scratcher, Teddye Buchanan in pick 237 is miles ahead of his ranking. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick250
Rnd7
Bilhal Kone
A slide stopped in No. 250, with Bilhal Kone worth more than the price. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
