Overall B+
ValueA- NeedB TradesA+ FutureB-
The Packers cashed the board's mistake on Alexander: B+.

The Packers spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Darius Alexander, the No. 130 name on the board, in the 200th overall pick. It does the job without flash, and the B+ reflects it.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. If Williams pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

Adding Zak Zinter by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.

Pick Analysis
Pick33 Rnd2 Tetairoa McMillan
Tetairoa McMillan in No. 33 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick54 Rnd2 Trey Amos
Trey Amos at Round 2, Pick 22 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the cornerback. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick67 Rnd3 Azareye'h Thomas
Azareye'h Thomas in the Round 3 slot is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick87 Rnd3 Alfred Collins
Alfred Collins at slot 87 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick123 Rnd4 Ajani Cornelius
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Ajani Cornelius at the 123rd overall pick. The roster fit checks out.
Pick160 Rnd5 Emery Jones Jr.
Steal is underselling it; Emery Jones Jr. at the 160th pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick165 Rnd5 Jeffrey Bassa
Jeffrey Bassa in pick No. 165 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick200 Rnd6 Darius Alexander
Darius Alexander in pick 200 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick239 Rnd7 Teddye Buchanan
They let Teddye Buchanan come to them and pounced at slot 239. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
Pick251 Rnd7 Nohl Williams
Nohl Williams at the 251st pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
